Nominee's Accomplishments at the High School Level in Kentucky:
Potts was a volleyball official almost from the inception of the sport in Kentucky. He was selected to officiate 14 KHSAA State Championships. In addition he worked at least 35 regional tournaments in regions 6, 7 and 8 that I can document and in all likelihood many more than that. Many years he worked multiple regional tournaments. He also worked at least 40 district tournaments in the same area. Again, that number is probably much higher but our association does not have records that far back. He was without question one of the best volleyball officials in the state but the things that set him apart was his ability to communicate and his obvious passion for the game.
