Sports Safety Course Troubleshooting Tips

Common Problems
Login Issues

Login Issues
Creating a User Name
The most common observed situation thus far deals with issues surrouding creation and maintaining of logins. Each person, if they desire to receive credit, must create a login on the KHSAA web site. This is done automatically by entering the email address of the desired user. If it is the first login for a particular user, the user will be prompted to re-enter the login. Through the first weeks of the course, many emails have been malformed or mis-typed. Coaches have used the older .k12.ky.us syntax for their email addres, or used the proper .kyschools.us syntax, but entered their old user name. It sounds trite, but the system simply will not work without the coach correctly knowing his/her own email address.
Once the email address has been correctly entered, an email will be sent to that address which contains a password for the user. This email is critical to validating that the coach is the actual person taking the test.
After the email has been received, the coach can go back to http://www.khsaa.org/sports_safety/, access the course, and enter the email address. The coach will then be prompted for that password and can begin the course.
What the KHSAA office cannot do. 1) Create an email address for a coach. 2) Correct the typing in malformed or mistyped addressed. That must be done by the coach.
