Actual expenditure variances due primarily to facility costs. For example, no arena at which the girls’ state basketball tournament is held is the Association charged a rental fee. Yet, at both arenas where the boys’ tournament is held, a significant rental fee is charged. The total rental on the boys’ tournament including additional security for larger crowds, etc. will be between $140 and $160 thousand dollars.
Trophies are same for both boys’ and girls’ sports.
